Citizen Advocate

The Citizen’s Advocate has been serving the Henning, Ottertail, Vining and Deer Creek area since 1891. The newspaper officially began on Thursday, March 12, 1891 with the first issue of the Alliance Advocate. The newspaper gave the Henning community a newspaper to call its own.

The Henning Advocate later evolved into the Citizen’s Advocate, which it remains today.

The newspaper currently serves the communities of Henning, Ottertail, Vining and Deer Creek, Henning Public School and countless townships in the surrounding area.
